Birmingham-based producer Jakeeq makes a bold entrance on CK Records with his debut EP, Jakeeq & Friends — a 6-track showcase of heavyweight drum and bass, stacked with collaborations from some of the scene’s most dynamic vocalists and producers.

From the haunting tension of “PTSD” featuring Mista X’s razor-sharp delivery, to the glitchy, grime-soaked darkness of “Glitchy” with Jab, this EP delivers a wide spectrum of moods while maintaining Jakeeq’s signature edge. Long-time collaborator Narsti3 teams up on the rolling, emotional cut “With Me”, featuring the commanding presence of Jugganaut.

“Oddworld” kicks things off with a deep and atmospheric ride, powered by Ullah’s distinctive tone, while “Energy” lives up to its name — a fast-paced, high-octane anthem featuring the explosive duo of MC Daddy G and Jugganaut. Closing things out, “Suffocated Mess” with MC Stevo takes things to a darker, more introspective space, wrapping the EP in a cold, gritty finish.
