DJ Direkt

DJ Direkt is a man of few words, preferring to let his music do the talking. The name’s well known on the scene, having already released music with the likes of 24 Karat, Grid Recordings UK, Kevlar Beats, Sub-liminal Recordings and Zombie Recordings UK, to name just a few… well this time, CK Records managed to snag a couple of slammers from the man himself.

Based out of Manchester, DJ Direkt claims that his biggest influences are Abba and Boney M, but we don’t believe him… we don’t remember Dancing Queen having a bassline that made you want to remove your own face. He also claims to eat cheese and crackers, but we don’t believe that either… noises like these don’t come from cheese-and-crackers people.

With drums that are aggressive and to-the-point, DJ Direkt doesn’t mess about. Both tracks are hard and dark with an aggressive styling to the bass sounds and the drums. DJ Direkt says his sound is like scraping metal.
